History and Vision
HISTORY
The church was started in October of 1984 in Rick & Merilee's home after a lot of prayer and searching for other venues. Almost a year later they were able to rent a school for the Sunday meetings and a Baptist church for the Wednesday meetings. Rick & Merilee and their three children were sent from a large church in Portland, Oregon, where Rick had graduated from Bible College and taught for twelve years in the school. Burdened by the Lord with a vision to raise up a church and expand the Kingdom, Rick and Merilee and their children moved to the U.K. in June of 1983. After working with a Pentecostal church in Bury, Lancashire for a year they moved to London to begin the work God had called them to do.
VISION
Our first ministry is to God, therefore we worship with extravagant joy & gratitude. Each believer's personal relationship with Him is our number one priority.
3. LIVING NATURALLY SUPERNATURALLY
Every believer is a supernatural minister of the gospel of power whom signs & wonders should follow. All ministry flows from the prayer, "Thy kingdom come... on earth as it is in heaven." We equip and send the church to carry on the works of Jesus.
4. DEMONSTRATING THE HEART OF GOD
We demonstrate God's grace, His unconditional love & transforming power, to everyone. We impact every socioeconomic group & cultural realm that mercy & justice would reign because we pastor a city, not just a church.
5. THERE IS MORE...
We are more than "sinners saved by grace", we are saints - sons & daughters of the King. So we expect to successfully fulfil the Great Commission - passing on revival from one generation to the next - even if the world grows darker in the last days.
We embrace the biblical government of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers.
